
Ann Hanson was born in Bremerton, Washington, and grew up in Wyoming where she studied art at Northwest College in Powell. She now lives with her husband in a home that doubles as a studio overlooking the beautiful Trapper Creek Valley near Shell, Wyoming.
Hanson paints with oils and pastels and is noted for her highly realistic and detailed work. Her paintings have been included in several national Western art shows, including the C. M. Russell Show in Great Falls, Montana, and the Buffalo Bill Art Show in Cody, Wyoming, where she won the William E. Weiss Purchase Award. She has been featured in Art of the West, American Artist and Western Horseman magazines. Her work is represented by Big Horn Galleries in Cody, Wyoming, and Trailside Galleries in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Jackson, Wyoming.
