George Bjorkland's work has been called "full of spring sunshine, soft and caressing." His paintings of lighthouses, street scenes, beach scenes and flowers are rendered in soft tones of color with details that create a quiet mood. Bjorkland studied at the Hartford Art School and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and has now settled in New Jersey. He has been exhibiting his watercolors since 1970 and has won numerous awards.
